The report - The 10 Most Recognized Alcoholic Beverage Brands in North America (January-March-2001) - is based on findings from an internet survey of more than 2,000 respondents in North America. The study focuses on brand name recall and brand name perceptions across a wide range of alcoholic beverage brands.

As the markets for these types of product converge, brands that are well-known consumer alcoholic beverage brands are usually at an advantage, according to Brand Institute, a biotechnology branding, pharmaceutical branding, and consumer branding consultancy firm.  Experience has shown that familiar name brands are the first ones consumers think of when faced with a purchase decision.
