European companies today will begin having more access to Brand Institute's unique branding and market research services as it opens an office in Lausanne, Switzerland, with an extraordinarily credentialed, multilingual staff.
For the past 11 years, Brand Institute (BI) has been the United States' premier full-service, brand identity company, specializing in nomenclature development, market/safety research services, and design. With more than 200 clients in 2003, alone, BI has helped develop names for some of the most well-recognized products, such as Pfizer's Lipitor, Bayer/GlaxoSmithKline's Levitra and Mercedes-Benz StarMark.

A pharmacist with a European Regulatory Affairs Certification from RAPS, Dr. Julie Berthelot is a brand development director. She began working at BI four years ago, initially heading strategy and creative and then handling key U.S. and European pharmaceutical accounts. Dr. Berthelot earned her Pharm.D. from Louis Pasteur University in Strasbourg and completed her research at Harvard University medical school. She speaks fluent French and English, with additional skill in German.
Todd Robison joined BI after 10 years managing brands internationally for companies, including Mercedes-Benz and Blockbuster. With well-honed expertise in international marketing, multicultural organizational management and branding, Mr. Robison will work as a brand development director. Mr. Robison earned his international MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) in Glendale, Ariz., and his M.A. from the Hochschule St. Gallen in Switzerland. He speaks fluent English and German, with additional skill in Spanish, Dutch and French.
Associate Director Didier Steutelings has six years' experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing. He joins BI after experience at Aventis, Organon, Bayer and Novartis. Mr. Steutelings holds a B.A. from the Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Liege, Belgium, and is fluent in Dutch, French and English, with additional skill in Italian, Spanish and German.
