James Dettore's Biography

As senior strategist and founder of Brand Institute (BI) in 1993, James Dettore has furthered the BI hallmark of innovation and excellence through the founding of the Drug Safety Institute (DSI) in 2004 and now in 2007, Research Solutions Institute (RSI). These are now premier companies in and of themselves, providing unparalleled expertise and cutting edge services that set the standard for industry and fulfill clients’ needs.

Mr. Dettore’s thirty years of brand management experience includes employment with PepsiCo, J.Walter Thompson, Hilton International Hotels and Ralph Lauren.

Mr. Dettore graduated from the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration and currently serves on the Executive Committee, Harvard University New York Owner / President Management Chapter (OPM).

Mr. Dettore has been a noted speaker at many educational conferences, before organizations including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the Food and Drug Law Institute, the American Marketing Association, the Drug Information Association, the United States Adopted Name (USAN) Council, DTC Perspectives, the Building Better Brands conference, the European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products (EMEA) and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society. He has appeared on live television and radio on ABC, CNN, CBS, NBC and CNBC and has been featured in print publications including Forbes Magazine, Fortune Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Pharmaceutical Executive, MedAdNews, Pharmacy Times, The Pink Sheet, and The Gray Sheet.
