IN BRIEF: HEALTHPOINT LTD.

Healthpoint Ltd. acquired exclusive rights to market Barrier Therapeutics Inc.'s antifungal ointment Zimycan (miconazole nitrate 0.25%) in the United States and Canada. Barrier has completed a Phase III trial of the product in infants with Candida-associated diaper dermatitis. As part of the agreement, Healthpoint will fund further clinical development of Zimycan for an adult indication.

Healthpoint Ltd., a subsidiary of DFB Pharmaceuticals Inc., signed an exclusive, global agreement with IsoTis SA to develop and license IsoTis' patented wound-healing technology Allox spray, which is expected to be available over the counter. Upon completion of an IsoTis Phase II study of the treatment, the companies will collaborate on a Phase III study. Pharma brand Allox's targeted U.S. approval date is in 2006.
